Your moving checklist, dated for your move
Choose your move date to turn a moving checklist into a practical timeline. Adjust the tasks to your home, tick off what is done, and take a printed or CSV copy with you.
Your date, task edits and completed markers stay in this tab’s memory. They are not saved or sent anywhere. Refreshing or resetting clears your checklist.
Plan your move
Past moves work too: unfinished tasks before today are marked overdue. Dates use calendar days, including leap days.
Edit any task and its timing below. Negative days are before the move; 0 is moving day; positive days are after. Select needs to include extra tasks.

Suggested planning dates only. Verify address-change duties, tenancy notice, school, utility and legal requirements with the relevant local organization; actual deadlines may differ.

How to use this printable moving checklist
Start with the move date you expect, then review the suggested timings. The checklist begins eight weeks before the move with a budget and inventory, makes room for packing and service changes, and continues after arrival. If you have less time, move tasks to realistic dates rather than treating the suggested dates as mandatory. Print after editing or download CSV to keep an offline copy; this page does not save your work.
A calendar example across a leap day
For a move on March 1, 2028, the essentials bag task at −1 day falls on February 29. The unpacking task at +1 day falls on March 2. Moving day stays March 1 regardless of daylight-saving clock changes. The same calendar-day rule applies when dates cross a month or a year.
Make the plan fit your household
The default tasks are a starting point, not a complete list of legal or contractual obligations. Review transport access, accessibility needs and any local requirements yourself. Optional children, pets and rental tasks appear only when selected. Completion means you marked a task done; it does not verify that a provider or authority has processed anything. CSV includes the visible tasks and their current status, with formula-like text neutralized for spreadsheet use.
